Three more days till we sing on stage
Five more days till we fly off
Do you
I feel we ARE ready; we just need the confidence and independance, as well as, inter-dependance. I'm so excited at the thought that we'll be performing in a totally foreign (to me) country, and knowing that we'll come out of it stronger than before. But then again, predicting the future is bad bad bad--that is, without evidence.
Carolling today: 291107
Felt that uncommercialised homes were more sincere. the first home (Singapore Christian Home for the Aged) really touched me, and I'm sure the occupants did to most of us. I really enjoyed singing for them; even though we weren't exactly at our best what with the conditions and difficulties, we still managed to bring joy to them. :D
St. Luke's Hospital was fine, although I felt we didn't have much time to interact with the old people (but I'm sure Gabby did AHAHAHA). Our octet (OCTET 3 <3) did EXTREMELY well, right? we brought tears to one of the "Less Responsive" guys on the fourth level when we sang Little Lambs.
Bright Vision. i kinda figured out why they didnt want us to carol carol. they were in fact a buddhist home. whoops. haha. nevertheless, we still managed to bring JOY to them. many quirky and cute characters there hahaaa. i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about:D
this is elizabeth, btw, in case you haven't figured it out yet!
i still feel a few of us have to work on the issue of complaining at any and every chance you get, although i know it's difficult to adjust so quickly. try, at least, if you cant be thankful for the difficulties, be thankful in them. you'll find this familiar overseas (And also if you read this post).
We can do it!
YES WE CAN.
much love,
elizabeth♥
